Helpful Tips for Buying a Shed

1

Figure out where you want your shed placed on your property. It is a good idea to have your shed location staked out ahead of time. We will try to have wire flags available for you at the time of purchase. If you mark it out in advance, you are more likely to get the shed exactly where you want it.

2

Consider looking at your shed location from a distance, preferably where you will usually be seeing your shed. Keep in mind the property boundaries as you don’t want to have to pay to get your shed moved. We will try to have the county’s policies on set backs (around Lynchburg)  posted here on the web site in the future. The place you want your shed does not have to be level. However the lay of the land will determine how high your shed will sit off of the ground. If you can, it is nice to place the door of the shed on the uphill side, so there will not be a need for steps into your shed. It also aids in the appearance of the shed.

The leveling and set-up of your shed is included in the price of your shed, as long as the building is not over 30″ out of level in the area where you shed is going to be placed. We will supply all blocks and shim necessary. Our shed floor supporting system is approved and stamped by Master of Engineers of Lynchburg.
